Update: Man arrested for alleged student harassment

A Hispanic male was arrested for allegedly harassing six female students from both Citrus College and Azusa Pacific University on March 28 near APU West Campus.

Frank Campos was detained at 6:32 p.m. by Azusa Police Department  for  repeatedly approaching female students and harassing them with sexual innuendos, as reported in a timely warning update from Citrus Campus Safety.

The majority of the incidents occurred on Citrus’s campus.

Campos began conversing with a female as she was leaving the Hayden Library between 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on March 29. He made sexually inappropriate comments before the female student ended the conversation.

The timely warning reported another incident approximately 30 minutes after where Campos began interacting with two females as they were getting into their vehicle, asking if he could go with them — the females declined and left the area.

Campos concluded the series of interactions by making the same remarks to a group of three female students outside the Campus Center before they left the area. No students were injured or physically harmed in any of these encounters as reported by Campus Safety.

Authorities said Campos’ bail is set at $10,000.
