The Glendora Police Department is hosting active shooter training at 2:40 p.m. on May 3 in the Haugh Performing Arts Center.

The presentation, which is not an active drill, will cover active shooter profiles, situational awareness and the role of social media in an active shooter scenario. Themes such as “Run, hide, fight,’ and ‘See something, say something,’ will also be discussed at the seminar.

Citrus College Campus Safety offers active shooter evacuation scenarios upon request throughout the semester.

Campus Safety Supervisor Ben Macias typically advises students  also watch the “Run, hide or fight” YouTube video for more information on active-shooter scenarios.

“The worst thing to do is have a complacent mind-set,” said Glendora PD authorities.

Glendora PD is inviting all students, staff, faculty and administrators to take part in the seminar.
