Two students set to lead the 2025-26 student government board

The 2025-26 Associated Students of Citrus College board will be composed of eight newly elected members.

Henoch Perez will be the new president even though he came second in voting.

Marisol Meza, who received 88 votes to Perez’s 79, dropped out after the vote was complete. This left the position to be filled by Perez as the runner-up.

Manuel Fernando Zepeda beat Nicolas Estey for vice president by a vote of 134 to 123.

Victoria Mucha was elected legislative liaison over Theodore Gonzalez by a vote of 147 to 84.

Patricia Flores, Marquel Savage, Harper Xie and Miho Obata all ran for and won senator positions.

AJ Hernandez won student trustee with 210 votes. Bianca Rodriguez Gonzalez came in second place with 125 votes.

Three hundred fifty nine ballots were cast in total. The new executive board will take control in the fall semester of 2025.

This is the biggest voter turnout for an ASCC election since spring 2019.
