The Citrus College English Program is set to host the first annual Citrus College Open Mic from 2-3:30 p.m. on May 5.
The event will be held in CI 159 with performances starting at 2:15 p.m.
Students, friends and family are invited to celebrate and share different voices through creative writing, poetry, music and personal stories.
The Open Mic will feature three to five minute speaking slots to students. Sign-ups will begin at 2 p.m. the day of the event.
In addition to the open mic, attendees will have the chance to meet Arlene Abundis, Citrus alumni and published author.
