The Owl cafe has been closed for the past two semesters and the reason why was a mystery.

Citrus’ enterprise service manager Eric Magallon said that the cafe was closed due to renovations and the transition to a new food service provider.
Citrus’ new food service provider is Sodexo America, LLC.Â
Magallon said Sodexo will, upon the implementation of the management agreement, manage and operate the Owl Cafe, the Coffee Bar, the Stadium Concessions, food and beverage vending machines, catering for all campus events and any food truck operations for Citrus College.
Currently, there is no official reopening date for the Owl Cafe.
Magallon said it is anticipated that when the Owl Cafe reopens, under Sodexo’s operations, it will serve the college better for years to come.
Magallon said Citrus and Sodexo are working hard to enhance food service options for students, faculty and staff.
“We would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding while Citrus works to enhance its food service options on campus,” Magallon said.
