Undocumented Student Action Week has much for those wishing to show support

The Dream Resource Center is hosting Undocumented Student Action Week with a vast array of events for the community to participate in and support the undocumented students.

A virtual event series, UndocuAlly Training, is happening in two parts. The first part is Oct. 18 and the second part is Oct. 20. Both last an hour starting at noon To attend, fill out the online application atl. Undocumented ally training.

The financial aid department will host a virtual event where interested people may get help applying for California Dream Act Oct. 18, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

On Oct. 19 alumnus Reynaldo Mora will help to guide “Sip-n-Paint (Art as Activism).” . The event goes from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.The event will be on the Campus Center Mall.

Also on Oct. 19 Nadine Henley, the student health center’s mental health supervisor will facilitate “Undocutalks: Belonging and Community Building.” The event is private for undocumented students only. It will run from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

On Oct. 20 the wrap up to the week will screen the documentary “Beyond the Dream.” The movie will screen from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Campus Center room 104,

The California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office will also host webinars through the week. Those interested in the CCCCO’s webinars events can visit webinars.
