Meet the professors: new faculty join Citrus College

Citrus College is welcoming several new professors this fall, each bringing unique expertise and passion to the classroom. From science to the arts, these faculty members are ready to share their knowledge with students.

Hamed Eskandarloo

Hamed Eskandarloo joins Citrus as a full time, tenure track chemistry professor. He earned a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Tehran and completed postdoctoral research at Cornell University. He has also taught at Pierce College, the University of La Verne and the Southern California University of Health Sciences.

Eskandarloo said his teaching style is “caring and supportive,” with a focus on creating a classroom where students feel valued and confident.

“I hope students learn to think critically and solve problems while gaining an appreciation for the world around them,” Eskandarloo said.

Aubrey Saverino

Theater students will see a new face in the department with Aubrey Saverino joining the faculty full time. She teaches performance based classes, including stage acting and camera acting.

Saverino holds a bachelor’s degree in theater from Occidental College and an MFA in theater from The Old Globe/University of San Diego. She has worked as a professional actor and has taught at several Southern California community colleges.

“I would describe my teaching style as warm and playful, with high standards of professionalism,” Saverino said. “I want my students prepared for the professional world and I want them to have fun and build a community.”

Matthew Reuteler

The Career Technical Education Division also welcomes Matthew Reuteler to the automotive technology faculty. While he was unavailable for comment, his role will support students pursuing training and careers in the automotive field.

With these additions, Citrus College continues to expand its team of professors, ensuring students have access to a wide range of educational opportunities.
