Azusa Pacific University was ordered to shelter in place while police investigated a possible shooting near campus around 12:40 p.m. today, APU Campus Safety tweeted.
APU Campus Safety later tweeted that the shelter-in-place order was lifted at 2:58 p.m.
A tweet sent by Azusa Pacific University at 3 p.m. said the suspect has been taken into custody.
Azusa Police Department was contacted but a public information officer was not immediately available to give comment.
The Clarion is working to gather additional details about the situation.
