The Owls men’s golf team finished ninth out of 10 teams in the 3C2A Southern California Regional Championships. The playoff was on May 4 at Olivas Links Golf Course in Ventura. Citrus ended the two-day tournament at 50-over par.
Citrus athlete Andrew Gahshan stood out with his 1-under-par 71 in the final round, which marked the team’s best score of the event.
While the team result fell short of advancing, Gahshan’s performance earned him a spot in the next stage of postseason play.
Gahshan will compete in the 3C2A State Championships on May 10 and 11 at SilverRock Resort in La Quinta.
