Citrus Sports Roundup: Football homecoming game to take place Oct. 14.

Volleyball

Citrus College suffered a 3-0 defeat against College of the Canyons on Oct. 11.

The Owls’ Faith Evaro had nine kills for the night, while Julia Pitre also had seven kills. 

Citrus is now 3-16 for the season and will face Antelope Valley on Oct. 13. 

Men’s Soccer

Citrus College defeated Glendale for a 4-0 victory on Oct. 10. 

The Owls’ Takechika Ito scored back-to-back goals right before halftime. Sammy Ghandour took care of business in the second half, where he scored two goals as well.

Citrus is now 6-3-3 and will take on College of the Canyons on Oct. 13.

Women’s Soccer

Citrus College suffered a 4-0 defeat against College of the Canyons on Oct. 10.

The Canyons’ Ashley Striegel scored two goals, while Alyssa Edwards and Natalia Zuluaga had one each. 

Citrus is now 5-3-2 for the season and will face off against Santa Monica on Oct. 13. 

Men’s Water Polo

Citrus College took two losses, 10-6 against Palomar and 16-2 against Riverside on Oct. 7. 

The Owls’ Killian Pressley had three goals, while Colton Vale, Riley Bagley and John Wilson had one each for both games combined. 

Citrus is now 10-9 for the season and will face Ventura on Oct. 18.

Women’s Water Polo

Citrus College took the 14-8 win against Palomar on Oct. 6.

Delaney Latham and Sierra Beltran had three goals each, while Andrea Hayler, Trinity Hulet, Sarah Jurado and Charly Figueroa had two each.

The Owls will compete at the Citrus Tournament against American River and San Diego Miramar on Oct. 13.

Cross Country

Citrus College competed at the Chaffey College invite on Oct. 7.

Ryleigh Larue led Citrus’ women with a time of 20:14.6, while Geo Cabello led Citrus’ men with a time of 24:19.4.

Citrus ends the regular season as it competes in the WSC Championships on Oct. 20. 

Football

Citrus College will face San Bernardino Valley in its Homecoming game at 6 p.m. on Oct. 14.
