Citrus performing arts students set to perform ‘School for Lies’ at the Citrus’ Little Theatre

Citrus’ performing arts students will perform “The School for Lies: A Play Adapted from Molière’s The Misanthrope starting April 4 at the Little Theatre.

The show runs at 7 p.m. April 4, 5 and 12, and 2 p.m. on April 6 and 13.

“The School for Lies” was originally written by David Ives and first performed in 2011.

It is an adaptation of Molière’s “The Misanthrope,” written back in 1666. 

The play is a rom-com about a young widow named Celimene, who outsmarts any guy that wants to go out with her. A man named Frank comes into her life and is the first person that can keep up with her intellect and wit.

The language is contemporary, while still taking place in the 17th century.

Ticket prices are $15 for students and kids under 12, $21 for seniors and $25 for adults.
